June 29, 2008 Robert Trowers, Mr. Trombone Man
Robert Trowers, jazz trombone player, composer and teacher at NC Central's Jazz Studies Program, brought boxes of trombone-featured albums and CDs, and we had a great time. Robert played with many big bands, including Lionel Hampton and Count Basie, and performed around the world with them. He always has lots of good stories to share. You can often hear me playing his music on my show.
