March 4, 2007 Jazzy Kids Say the Darndest Things

Melva's Musings on Jazz features the jazz music of North Carolina musicians - the greats of the past and those playing today. This week I was delighted to be visited by a jazzy family - Zoe (6 yrs. old), Gabriel (8 yrs. old and plays a mean virtual sax), Julie (mom) and William Knaack (dad). They notified their family across the country and so I reached my all time high for webstreaming of 13 connections. To help with a bird identification, Knaack family members called into the show from Wisconsin, South Carolina, Florida and Texas. It was a fun show full of family and music connections.

My radio show is on every Sunday night from 7:00-9:00 EST. WCOM, the 100 Watts of Wonder station, can be heard locally on 103.5 fm and globally by going to the WCOM website at www.communityradio.coop and clicking on the button in the upper right-hand corner marked for web-streaming. Please join me for a fun evening.
