I celebrated the music and birthday (September 23th) of jazz legend John Coltrane. John was born in Hamlet, North Carolina. Half of my playlist consisted of his recordings and the other half were songs of the NC jazz artists who performed at the Carrboro Music Festival on Septeber 24th.
